A cow moose and her male calf in Wilson, WY on February 8, 2012. After at least a full day of munching on willows and snow, digesting and resting in our yard, the pair tried crossing the Moose-Wilson Highway 390 where the calf was hit and killed by an automobile several hours after the last of these photos was made.
